Yugoslav Delegation - in Support of Student Protests — Anděl Music Bar, Pilsen

A concert benefit event supporting student protests in Serbia. All ticket proceeds will go to the Students in Blockade initiative and other Serbian student and charitable platforms, which can also be supported on-site via QR codes.

The evening will feature two Serbian rock bands making their Czech debut. Šajzerbiterlemon has built a reputation since 2014 as one of the most sought-after young bands on the Belgrade scene, known for their raw and energetic live performances. Turbo Trans Turisti are bringing their 2023 album Važan i Veliki, which has earned them appearances on television and international showcase festivals. Opening the show is the Plzeň-based group Skotační Kulomet, blending art rock with lounge swing and Balkan brass sounds.

Since November 2024, Serbia has seen widespread student protests joined by much of the public. They were sparked by the collapse of part of the railway station in Novi Sad, which killed sixteen people and became a symbol of neglected infrastructure and corruption. Students have since organized silent vigils and awareness actions abroad - including a bike ride from Novi Sad to Strasbourg and a relay run to Brussels. These peaceful protests are often suppressed by police, special units, and criminal elements.

"Yugoslav Delegation" is affiliated with the Prague benefit events Lajf Aid 4 Srbija; the Prague evening takes place on April 30 at Cargo Gallery.
