The Prague Film Orchestra performs in Zlín with a programme of film music conducted by maestro Jan Kučera. The stage will feature iconic melodies from Star Wars, The Lord of the Rings, Harry Potter, Pirates of the Caribbean and other film series.

The repertoire is built on the works of composers John Williams, Hans Zimmer, Howard Shore and James Horner.

About the venue: Congress Centre Zlín

Kongresové centrum Zlín is a modern multifunctional building on náměstí T. G. Masaryka in the centre of Zlín. Designed by architect Eva Jiřičná, a native of Zlín, it was inaugurated in 2010. The venue is home to the Bohuslav Martinů Philharmonic and features a main hall for over 850 seated guests, a chamber hall, and a recording studio. It hosts concerts, congresses, balls, festivals, and educational events.

About: Jan Kučera

With over a hundred symphonic premieres to his name and a tenure as chief conductor of the Karlovy Vary Symphony Orchestra (2015-2021), Jan Kučera ranks among the most active figures on the Czech classical scene. His own stage works - operas and ballets alike - are performed by leading Czech ensembles including the Czech Philharmonic and the National Theatre.
