The Jazz Couch Cycle brings three concerts featuring jazz that isn't afraid to venture off the beaten path.

On October 19, the cycle opens with Alf Carlsson / Jiří Kotača Quartet, delivering melodic and energetic European jazz. On November 18, the Janoušek-Wróblewski Quartet takes the stage - a band that defies easy genre classification. The cycle concludes on December 9 with the project Hukot vln (Sound of Waves, Whistle of Wind, Dry Rustle of Unknown Origin), featuring Michal Hrubý, Jana Vöröšová, Elia Moretti, Antonín Procházka, Robert Škarda, and Zdeněk Závodný - improvisation working with unexpected sounds and instruments.

All three projects share a desire to blend seemingly incompatible elements and leave room in the music for rawness, chance, and surprise. From guitar to cimbalom.
