Report on the Matter of Normality

Report on the Matter of Normality is a documentary theatre production about the position of people with intellectual disabilities in Czech society. It was created in collaboration between Theatre Setkání and Theatre Klauniky, which has long been dedicated to inclusive theatre work and operates the social enterprise Penzion Lipůvka in Jeseníky.

The production traces the development of integrating people with intellectual disabilities into mainstream society. Its performers challenge the entrenched image of passive care recipients - and with civic courage question the idea that human abilities can be ranked on a scale that divides people into "standard" and "non-standard".
