I Dance, You Dance, We Dance...

An evening featuring joint performances by dance ensembles from two arts schools - ZUŠ Sokolovská in Plzeň and ZUŠ Vítězslava Nováka in Jindřichův Hradec. Both ensembles participated in the MenART scholarship programme, established in 2018 under the patronage of the Magdalena Kožená Foundation alongside the development of the ZUŠ OPEN festival. This will be their only joint performance in Plzeň.

Their productions have won awards at festivals and showcases throughout the Czech Republic.

ZUŠ Sokolovská Plzeň: WOLF'S BANE

Wolf's Bane was created as part of the annual MenART Academy scholarship programme 2024/2025, resulting from collaborative work by the Agnesky dance ensemble, choreographer Simona Mikešová, and mentor Jan Kodet. The performance tells the story of a young girl who follows the voice of her heart despite the advice of those around her - and her journey leads her to a truth hidden from those who seek only with reason. Movement, word, and music interweave into a poetic dance narrative.
