Guided Tour of the Exhibition "František Pavlů - Two Forms"

A guided tour of the exhibition "František Pavlů - Two Forms" with curator Ilona Víchová and the artist's daughter Zuzana Pavlů will take place on 9 September 2026 from 18:00.

The exhibition is dedicated to František Pavlů (1932-2008), a significant representative of the Club of Concretists, whose work encompasses sculpture, medal art, works on paper, and experimental forms - notably his celebrated muchlages. Ilona Víchová and Zuzana Pavlů will place Pavlů's work within the broader context of his artistic development and his activity in Liberec, and will explore his relationship to constructivism, minimalism, and architectural thinking about sculpture. Zuzana Pavlů will also offer a more personal perspective on the artist's life and work.

The tour will pause at significant sculptural works, including the monumental "Wings", as well as drawings, collages, monotypes, frottages, and muchlages that demonstrate Pavlů's experimental approach to material and image.

The evening will also include a presentation of the newly published monograph on František Pavlů - the first publication to comprehensively capture his work and place it within the context of Czech constructive art and the activities of the Club of Concretists.
