Is Prague Circular?
Prague has committed to removing biowaste from regular bins, expanding the REUSE centre network, introducing "iron Sundays", and public procurement where institutions don't just buy the cheapest option. How much of this strategy has made it to the streets, and where are the bottlenecks?
Pavla Antonínová, coordinator for circular economy at Prague City Hall, will guide the lecture on what actually works in Prague, what is just getting started, and where there is the most room for progress. The lecture will conclude with a discussion with the audience.
Speaker: Pavla Antonínová (Prague City Hall)
Pavla has worked on waste management and circular economy at Prague City Hall for over ten years. She is behind the preparation and coordination of steps stemming from Prague's Strategy for the Transition to a Circular Economy (Circular Prague 2030) - from waste prevention through reuse of goods to connecting institutions across the city.
The lecture is part of the Festival Dokola, taking place on 10-11 September 2026 at Kampus Hybernská with support from Prague City Hall and organized by the Institute for Circular Economy (INCIEN).
