The Best of Clementinum

Guided tour of the historic Clementinum spaces - the Mirror Chapel, Baroque Hall, and Astronomical Tower.

A guide from the National Library of the Czech Republic will lead visitors through the Mirror Chapel, dedicated to the Annunciation of the Virgin Mary, with its exceptionally designed interior decoration. The tour continues to the first floor, where you can see the Baroque library hall with ceiling frescoes, historic bookshelves, valuable globes, and astronomical clocks. In the anteroom, replicas of sextants made for Tycho Brahe in Prague in 1600 are on display.

From there, a spiral staircase leads to the Meridian Hall with original wall quadrants and equipment for determining solar noon, and then a wooden staircase to the tower gallery with views over Prague.

Practical information:
- Meeting point: shortly before the start in the courtyard in front of the Mirror Chapel
- Participant numbers are limited to 25 people. Those registered who cannot attend are asked to cancel in advance via the link in the confirmation email.
- Warning: Climbing the tower requires ascending 172 steps on foot.
