HIHIHAHAHOLKY

HIHIHAHAHOLKY blend experimental rap, sarcasm and activism with hard trap beats and jazz elements - and they are coming to Pardubice for the first time. The trio consists of rappers and performers Alena Novotná and Štěpánka Todorová, alongside music producer and live DJ Matěj Šíma (Taťko Maťko). Alena and Štěpánka play with the Czech language and weave personal experiences, feminism and broader social themes into their lyrics; Matěj Šíma frames their performance with production tailored specifically to the trio.

The band formed in 2022 while studying at the Department of Alternative and Puppet Theatre at DAMU. Their debut album Pinky Winky Life (2023) explores the world of girls and everyday life. The second, conceptual album Adventures of Jessica and Angie (2025) follows the story of two heroines and opens up themes of harassment, stalking, social pressure and problematic family relationships. On their third album SSSCREAM (2026), HIHIHAHAHOLKY drew inspiration from The Hammer of Witches and the historical witch hunts, transposing these motifs into the present day and connecting them with sexism, gender inequality and violence against women. The album was created in close collaboration with a theatrical rap concert of the same name.

HIHIHAHAHOLKY also have experience with theatre and film music: they created music and lyrics for the production Fakani at A Studio Rubín and music for the short film My Homeland, in which Alena Novotná and Štěpánka Todorová played the lead roles. They collaborated with the experimental rap duo P/\ST on the single My Home (2024).
