The fourth edition of Children's Day in the Royal Garden and Deer Moat of Prague Castle takes place on Saturday, May 23, 2026, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. The event is held under the patronage of the First Lady Eva Pavlová and is organized by the Prague Castle Administration in cooperation with the Czech Council for Children and Youth. Together with the mascot cat Mička, visitors will immerse themselves in the magic of traditional folk crafts and explore lesser-known castle corners. The programme offers a journey through time to the age of swordsmen, merry jesters, and brave legionnaires, fairy-tale theatre performances, and rides on historic wooden carousels. In the Ball Game Hall of Prague Castle in the Royal Garden, there will be personal meetings with Rudolf II and his entourage throughout the day – historical costumes were provided by Barrandov Studio. In the Deer Moat, soldiers of the Castle Guard will demonstrate their skills and equipment, and Native Americans will also be present with refreshments available. In the Royal Garden, visitors can see demonstrations of professional skills by members of the Presidential Protection Unit. More than 35 children's and non-profit organizations have prepared competitions, games, quizzes, and educational programmes; children who collect stamps at individual stations will receive a small prize. The musical programme will be provided by the "Children for Children" project, in which children from children's homes have prepared performances. Entry to the Royal Garden and Deer Moat is free and all access routes will be open.
