Alice Bauer Q - The Way I Am

Alice Bauer Q's concert will present compositions from the forthcoming album The Way I Am - the first project that singer and composer Alice Bauer releases entirely under her own name and largely featuring her own original work.

Jazz is her natural home, but she has never remained confined within it: she weaves modal elements of Turkish and Persian music, as well as echoes of Moravian folk melody, seamlessly into her compositions. This body of work grows from her experience across numerous projects - the vocal group SKETY, the Original Prague Syncopated Orchestra, Hot Sisters, the experimental modal project Nebula, and others.

On stage she will be accompanied by pianist Jakub Tököly, double bassist Tomáš Liška (this year awarded the Anděl prize, and together with Alice a nominee for the Anděl as part of the HlasKontrabas Octet) and Marek Urbánek on drums. The album will be released in December 2026, and its launch featuring many guests - including Epoque Quartet - will take place on 20 December 2026 at Prague's Jazz Dock.
