Odyssey

Odysseus was king of the Greek island of Ithaca who, according to legend and the poet Homer, invented the famous Trojan Horse - a trick that decided the fall of Troy and ended the exhausting siege of the city.

After the battles end, Odysseus desires only one thing: to return home to his wife Penelope and son Telemachus. Yet his actions have angered the gods, who will make his return as difficult as possible. This is why the word "odyssey" became a synonym for a journey full of obstacles that distance the wanderer from his goal rather than bring him closer.

While Odysseus defies the gods, giants, and the enchantress Circe, his wife Penelope at home faces men who want to seize her and the entire kingdom of Ithaca.
