Chica Checa
Fifty-three-year-old Zdena appears to live an ordinary life as a rural postal worker - her house is falling apart, and she fills her solitude with cucumbers and television. Her son Lukáš lives in France, successful and happy, or so it seems through the screen of an old computer, where they occasionally stay in touch.
When ninety-year-old grandmother Věra expresses her final wish - to see Helena Vondráčková - it seems like the whim of a dying woman. But Lukáš's return home brings a secret he has carefully guarded for years: he is gay and works as a drag queen named Chica Checa.
The attempt to fulfill grandmother's wish draws Lukáš and Zdena closer together - and reveals that Zdena yearns for a different life than those around her expect. Because when you stop lying to your loved ones, you must stop lying to yourself.
