XVII. Líšeň for Itself Festival

The seventeenth edition of the community festival Líšeň for Itself takes place on Saturday, June 13, 2026, from 11:00 at Dělňák in Líšeň (Klajdovská 28, Brno-Líšeň). The festival is organized by the Líšeň for Itself association in cooperation with the Líšeň Cultural Centre and Líšeň Theatre. The tradition of festivals in Líšeň dates back to 1999, when Líšeň Theatre held the first edition with the subtitle "Awakening from the Ruins" as a response to the threat of demolition of the Líšeň Dělňák. The Líšeň for Itself association has been organizing the festival of the same name since 2010. The event offers a theatrical, musical, and visual arts programme featuring productions by local artists and guests from across the country, intended for audiences of all ages. The festival maintains its civic engagement and serves as an open meeting place for active people across generations. Admission is traditionally free.
