A widowed village postwoman, Zdena (Pavla Tomicová), tries to fulfill her dying mother's last wish. A series of unexpected events brings her closer to her son Lukáš (Jan Čína) and awakens in her a longing for a different life.

About: Alena Doláková

Born on 17 September 1989 in Vyškov, Alena Doláková is a Czech actress, dancer and writer who completed her drama studies at JAMU in Brno in 2013. She has since established herself in both Czech and international film and television productions, appearing in Knightfall (HBO), Whiskey Cavalier (ABC) and Last Light (Netflix). Her most prominent role came in the dance drama Mirrors in the Dark (2021), earning her a nomination for the Czech Film Critics' Award. Beyond acting, she performs stand-up comedy with the group MHD Comedy and published the autobiographical novel Anna z Hollywoodu in 2020.

Jitka Schneiderová [jitka šnajderová] (* March 23, 1973 Znojmo) is a Czech actress.

Originally, she did not want to be a teacher, but she graduated from a secondary pedagogical school. Thanks to her musical and movement talent, she decided to join JAMU. Already during her studies, she was a guest at the Brno City Theater and appeared in original Czech musicals in Brno and Prague. She received an offer to the Mrštík Brothers Theater and began studying at DAMU, where she was taught, for example, by Jan Kačer.
