Alice Bauer Q - The Way I Am

Alice Bauer Q will perform songs from the upcoming album The Way I Am - the first project the singer and composer Alice Bauer releases under her own name, featuring largely her own compositions.

Jazz is her natural home, but she has never confined herself to it: she weaves modal elements of Turkish and Persian music, as well as echoes of Moravian folk melodies, seamlessly into her compositions. This experience stems from her work in a range of diverse projects - the vocal group SKETY, the Original Prague Syncopated Orchestra, Hot Sisters, the experimental modal project Nebula, and others.

On stage she will be accompanied by pianist Jakub Tököly, double bassist Tomáš Liška (awarded an Anděl this year, and together with Alice also a member of the Anděl-nominated HlasKontrabas Octet) and Marek Urbánek on drums.

The album will be released in December 2026. Its launch with many guests - including Epoque Quartet - will take place on 20 December 2026 at the Prague jazz club Jazz Dock.
