Guided Tour of the Exhibition "Dear Adrieno" with Markéta Čejková

The exhibition "Dear Adrieno..." is held on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the artist's birth and centers on the collection of the Mládek couple. Particular attention is given to textile collages from the 1970s and pricked drawings on layered carbon paper from a decade later. The Museum Kampa's historical collection is complemented by loans from public and private collections - including paintings from the early 1970s in which Šimotová responded to the illness and death of her husband Jiří John, and the late cycle "Huddled" from 2009-2010.

The tour will be led by Markéta Čejková, an art historian specializing in Czech art of the second half of the 20th century, particularly in the work of female artists and their place in art history. In her scholarly work she focuses on, among other things, the circle of the UB 12 group, of which Adriena Šimotová was a member.
