The concert "Tribute to Mozart" takes place on Friday, 5 June 2026 at 18:30 in the Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary in Ostrava. Pražákovo kvarteto arrives in the Přívoz district as part of its four-date Czech tour, which also includes a performance in Ostrava on 17 May and two concerts in Frenštát pod Radhoštěm. The church, built in 1896–1899 after a design by Viennese architect Camillo Sitte, dominates Svatopluka Čecha Square with two slender towers and provides an authentic setting for classical music. The programme features Mozart's String Quartet in D minor KV 421 and Clarinet Quintet KV 581, with clarinetist Anna Paulová. Admission from 120 CZK.

About the venue: Church of the Immaculate Conception of the Virgin Mary

A Roman Catholic church in the Přívoz district of Ostrava, built between 1896 and 1899 to designs by the renowned Viennese architect Camillo Sitte. The Neo-Gothic-Romanesque building dominates náměstí Svatopluka Čecha with two slender towers rising 67 metres. It was consecrated on 15 August 1899 by Olomouc Archbishop Theodor Kohn. The main altar features a painting of the Immaculate Conception by artist František Ženíšek.

About: Anna Paulová

Anna Paulová (born 1993) is a Czech clarinettist regarded as one of the most prominent of her generation. She won 2nd prize at the Prague Spring International Music Competition in 2015 and first prize at the Bohuslav Martinů Foundation Competition in 2016. She specialises in performing Mozart's clarinet repertoire on the basset clarinet. Her debut album, featuring music by Karel Husa and Bohuslav Martinů, was released on Supraphon in 2023.
