2nd Street Theatre Festival - In September Theatre Sings — Praha 12, Prague

A festival for the whole family featuring street theatre, jugglers, acrobats, clowns and music. The event takes place in the garden area of Viničný House in Modřany. Admission to all performances is on a voluntary basis.

About the venue: Praha 12

Kulturní centrum „12" is a publicly funded cultural centre run by the Prague 12 municipal district, based in Modřany at Jordana Jovkova 3427/20, with a branch at Pertoldova 3346/10. It also uses the district hall and the Viničný dům grounds for larger events. The programme covers concerts, theatre, lectures, workshops, fitness classes, and activities for families and children.

About: Divadelní spolek LokVar

The Prague puppet company LokVar grew out of a collaboration between two DAMU graduates - Ivana Lokajová and Peter Varga - when they founded it in 2002, and has since built a repertoire spanning audiences from age three to adults. Hand puppets, marionettes and other puppet forms take turns on stage in productions the company brings to Czech festivals and international venues alike.

The LokVar ensemble presented the premiere of the new fairy tale Three Little Pigs on January 4, 2026, directed by Peter Varga with set design by Barbora Hubená and music by Milan Potočka.

LokVar performed the fairy tales Kašpárek Builds a House and Three Little Pigs at the music festival at Dobříš Castle in August 2026.
