Medieval Festivities 2026

Medieval Festivities on the Hradčany take place on Saturday, 23 May 2026, in Park Maxe van der Stoela (Prague 6, Hládkov) from 9:30 to 19:00. The event is organized by Allgor, a group specializing in historical and stage combat from the High Gothic period (13th–15th centuries) — all knights perform in full plate armour. The programme includes knight tournaments, fencing displays by groups Allgor, Via Rebellis and Páni z Johnsdorfu, period dancers, fire show, performances by drummers, jugglers, stilt-walkers and fire-eaters, live medieval music, and a craftspeople's market. Each performance is accompanied by stage music and narrated by professional actors from Prague theatres. For children there are horse rides, archery, axe-throwing, weapons and armour demonstrations, a Games Garden and period contests. This year the stage will also feature demonstrations of service dog training by the organization Pomocné tlapky o.p.s. The festivities take place in any weather, entry is permitted for families with children, people with disabilities, and those with animals. Tickets are available only on-site on the day of the event. The event is supported by the Prague 6 Municipal Office.
