The first of three concerts in the Musical Bridges of Europe project, organized by Multicultural Centre Brusinka, DEMOS Ensemble, and Vinařství Válka. The evening features music of early Romanticism for oboe, clarinet, piano, and soprano.

The ensemble's core members are oboist Andrew D. Miller, clarinetist Josephine Sapsard, and pianist Giulio Lo Monaco - musicians from the Czech Republic, Great Britain, and Italy. For this first concert, they are joined by Brno soprano Kateřina Škárová.

The three-part series will guide the audience from early Romanticism through high Romanticism to twentieth-century music; each evening features a different Brno guest artist. The series takes place with the support of the Brno-střed district.

Each ticket includes a glass of Moravian wine from the family-run Vinařství Válka. Before and after the concert, there will be an opportunity to taste additional wines from their production and meet the musicians.

About the venue: Municipal Office Brno-Centre

The Brno-střed municipal district office is located on Dominikánská street in central Brno and administers the city's most populous district. It handles both self-governing and delegated state administration - covering the registry office, social services, housing management, the environment, and transport. A smaller branch office (Miniúřad) is also available on days outside the main office hours.
