Sunday Guided Tours of Wine Production at Prague Botanical Garden in Troja 2026
Botanická zahrada hlavního města Prahy, Prague
Prague Botanical Garden in Troja offers guided tours of its vineyard and wine cellar every Sunday from 11 January to 13 December 2026, under the name "Sunday Cellar". Tours start at 13:00 and 15:00. Meet at the Kovárna ticket office on Trojská Street. The entrance fee includes a tour of the vineyard and cellar, access to the botanical garden's outdoor exhibitions, and entry to the Fata Morgana tropical greenhouse. The botanical garden has managed the St. Clare Vineyard since 1995, continuing its 800-year tradition. Key grape varieties are Riesling and Pinot Noir. Since the 2009 harvest, grapes have been processed in a newly built cellar with modern equipment — a crusher-destemmer, peristaltic pump, pneumatic membrane press, and vinificator. The 200 m² cellar is divided into three sections. At the end of each tour, visitors enjoy a small tasting of wines produced entirely at the botanical garden. No advance booking is required; tickets can be purchased at the Kovárna ticket office before the tour or online through the botanical garden's e-shop. Dogs are not permitted.
