Stanice metra Vyšehrad, Prague
A guided walking tour of Vyšehrad offers a fresh perspective on this part of Prague - combining historical facts with the legends woven into the place.
Participants will learn about the original Gothic fortifications, who commissioned the Rotunda of St. Martin (the oldest surviving church) and what ghost appears there. Why is goose traditionally baked for St. Martin's Day? The tour explains this too. The route includes Devil's Column, views over the city and the Vltava River, and concludes at Slavín cemetery - the final resting place of many figures from Czech culture and science.
Guide: Monika Miličičová. Duration: 2 hours.
