Castle Tours for Children and Adults | CASTLE SUMMER Festival
Křinec Castle is a 17th-century family castle in the Central Bohemian Region, approximately an hour's drive from Prague. This year it celebrates the 20th anniversary since the current private owners took over and began its gradual restoration.
The Castle Summer Festival in Křinec emerged from the merger of two independent initiatives: actors Lenka Vlasáková Dolanská and Honza Dolanský, together with friends from the Verze Theatre - Jana Janěková and Igor Chmel - were planning a theatre festival, while actor Tomáš Novotný and the Kultura pro Křinecko association were preparing a food festival with accompanying programme. The result is a multi-genre festival offering theatre performances, concerts, an all-day food festival, and a children's programme.
The castle tour guides visitors through the turbulent history of the noble families who owned it over the centuries. The route includes a historically restored section with blue salons and a Baroque hall, as well as spaces with current exhibitions where you can glimpse rooms that have not yet undergone restoration and remain in their "raw" state. Children's tours are led by the castle keeper Róza.
