Divadlo Líšeň - Putin Lyžuje

Divadlo Líšeň brings to Moravský Krumlov a tragicomic play about Putin's rise to power and Russia's drift toward totalitarianism. The production combines puppet theatre with drama, depicting real situations with exaggeration and dark humour that chill the spine. The performance unfolds in a military tent around a large desk, which serves as the setting for "scenes from Russia". The play is based on texts by Anna Politkovskaya, a Russian-Ukrainian journalist murdered in Moscow in 2006.

The production won the directing prize and the Jan Wilkowski Award for puppet animation at the international Spotkania festival in Torun in 2011. At the Valise 2012 festival in Łomża, the jury recognized actors Luděk Vémola and Tomáš Machka.

The production is suitable from age 15.
