Birthday Party

The film Birthday Party takes place in the late 1970s somewhere in the Mediterranean. Marcos Timoleón (Willem Dafoe), a magnate in the style of Aristotle Onassis, throws a lavish birthday celebration on his private island for his daughter and sole heir Sofía (Vic Carmen Sonne).

The celebration becomes a pretext for various people from Marcos's life to pursue their own agendas. Marcos, accustomed to controlling everything and everyone around him, secretly prepares a major intervention in his daughter's life - while Sofía has some unwelcome news of her own for him.

As night falls, the celebration escalates and becomes increasingly decadent, while the clash between father and daughter inexorably moves toward its climax.
