Final Evening: Distorted Image + Rostislav Čuřík

The closing evening of the exhibitions Distorted Image and (Photography) takes place on Sunday, August 16 from 5 p.m. at the House of Art in Brno. The evening offers a discussion with the curator, guided tours, musical performances, and a re-enactment performance.

Programme:

5:00 p.m. Discussion with exhibition curator Lenka Dolanová, moderated by Jana Horáková from the Institute of Music Studies at Masaryk University in Brno. Simultaneously, Richard Fajnor performs "...vazby" - a re-performance of an action from 1996 presented at the Hi-Tech / Art festival at the House of Art, with audience participation and historical technology.

5:30 p.m. Guided tour of the (Photography) exhibition with author Rostislav Čuřík and curator Tereza Petišková.

6:15 p.m. Pavel Ryška presents a commented programme of clips, advertisements, and footage from the editing studios of Kavčí hory, focusing on the implementation of video and computer graphics into television post-production in the 1990s.

7:15 p.m. Marta Kovářová, graduate of the Video-Multimedia-Performance programme at the Faculty of Fine Arts, VUT, performs solo with double bass and voice. Her early and contemporary musical works will be heard in raw arrangements.

8:00 p.m. Nina Böttcherová - stanicamiru. A poetic-musical performance combining poetry, music, and live visuals, exploring the space where words and sounds intertwine into a whole. Stanicamiru is part of FavuLabel and Lotuscollective.

Throughout the closing evening, a selection of moving images by students of the Video Studio at the Faculty of Fine Arts, VUT in Brno can be viewed (curated by Martin Mazanec).
