Leitnerka 70: Bratři Orffové

Bratři Orffové perform only sporadically, yet public interest remains undiminished. More than a decade after the release of their album Šero - which won the Anděl award and the Apollo music critics' prize for best album of 2013 - the band continues to find new listeners and their work resonates across generations. New songs may well be added to their collection in 2026.

Bratři Orffové have been active since 2002. The band's name references the pioneers of Czechoslovak electronics, the Orm brothers, as well as Orff's musical instruments. The lineup has evolved over the years; today it consists of vocalist and guitarist Ivan Gajdoš, guitarist Lukáš Novotný, trumpeter Libor Martiník, drummer Petr Odstrčil, bassist Břetislav Koláček, and keyboardist and synthesizer player Zdeněk Henych. The release of their debut Bingriwingri in 2005 was hailed by media as a landmark event in the Czech alternative scene. In 2023, Minority Records reissued both of the band's albums as remastered vinyl editions.
