Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom

A loose sequel to Raiders of the Lost Ark, set one year earlier in 1935. Indiana gets entangled with a Chinese gangster boss in a Shanghai nightclub. At first, the stakes involve an ancient Chinese statue and a rare diamond, but soon Jones's own life is on the line. The film won an Academy Award for visual effects.
