An exhibition of photographs by Karel Cudlín documenting Ukraine from the Velvet Revolution to the present day. A cross-section of Cudlín's journeys across Ukraine - from photographs of civic engagement connected with the declaration of independence in the early 1990s, through the events of the Orange Revolution and Euromaidan, to images of everyday life in the Ukrainian countryside.

About the venue: Káznice

The Káznice is a large prison complex in Brno's Zábrdovice district, whose foundation stone was laid in 1772. It served as a jail from 1784 to 1956 - during the Nazi Protectorate and after 1948 it held and executed political prisoners. Since 2018, the Tripitaka association has been running a community and cultural centre here, with concerts, theatre performances, exhibitions and site-specific projects. Regular events include the multigenre Ghettofest and the Faktor K festival. The city is gradually converting the complex into a creative centre with studios, workshops and a memorial space.
