Richard Konkolski: Around the World Alone

Richard Konkolski, a legend of Czech and world sailing, will visit Starojická Lhota to share his extraordinary story. The man who single-handedly circumnavigated the globe three times will speak about ocean voyages, sailing races, storms, equipment failures, and the moments when he had to rely entirely on his own experience and determination.

He will recount his journey from his first attempts at sailing to participation in the world's most demanding ocean races, and present the story of his self-built yacht Niké, with which he made his mark on Czechoslovak maritime history.

The event takes place on Saturday, 24 October 2026 from 19:00 in the hall of Pohostinství Starojická Lhota. The hall opens at 18:00. Seating is limited by hall capacity - advance tickets guarantee a seat.
