Concert: OCD and Hihihahaholky
Veřejný sál Hraničář, Ústí nad Labem
Obyvatelé cihlového domu (OCD) combine classical piano, female vocals, and the energy of punk, progressive rock, and metal. Their music shifts from delicate, jazz-inflected passages to raw, urgent moments, often with unexpected rhythmic breaks. In original Czech lyrics, the band explores stories of people on society's margins, horror themes, and visions of collapsing civilization - delivered with dark atmosphere and black humour. Line-up: vocals Andrea Steinbauer, drums Ondřej Kolín, bass Michael Černík, piano Adam Steinbauer.
Hihihahaholky are an experimental rap trio made up of performers Alena Novotná and Štěpánka Todorová and music producer and live DJ Matěj Šíma aka Taťka Maťka. They rap in Czech; their lyrics are playful, ironically naive, and move between personal themes and social reflection. Taťka Maťka's music ranges from jazz harmonies to hard trap beats. The trio formed in 2022 at DAMU, in the department of alternative and puppet theatre.
Their debut album Pinky Winky Life came out in December 2023; a music video for the track "Špatnej vliv" was made in autumn of that year. In February 2025 they released their second album "Dobrodružství Jessicy a Angie" - a concept album following the story of two heroines with feminist themes. The trio also composed music and lyrics for the theatre production Fakani (premiere February 2025, A Studio Rubín, directed by Ondřej Štefaňák) and music for the student film "Moje domovina" (directed by Sarah Slavíčková), in which both singers play the lead roles. The single "Moje doma" was created in November 2024 in collaboration with rap duo P/\ST; the music video was released in February 2025.
