Guided Tour of the Exhibition "Dear Adrienne" with Curator Jan Skřivánek

The exhibition "Dear Adrienne..." was created on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of Adriena Šimotová's birth and centers on the collection of the Mládek couple. Particular attention is drawn to textile collages from the 1970s and pricked drawings into layered carbon paper from a decade later.

The Museum Kampa's historical collection is complemented by loans from public and private collections that illuminate further aspects of Šimotová's work - especially paintings from the early 1970s responding to the illness and death of her husband Jiří John, and the late cycle "Schoulení" from 2009-2010. Although Adriena Šimotová has had several exhibitions at Museum Kampa, some of the works will likely be a discovery even for those familiar with her art.
