Vilové Podolí

A guided walk begins at the Church of St. Pancras, home to one of the oldest preserved bells in the Czech lands. The route leads through the villa district of Podolí from the 1920s and 1930s - passing by a villa that artist Jiří Trnka purchased for his former wife, and places where the so-called Friday Circle gathered, where one could encounter Karel Čapek or T. G. Masaryk.

Participants will also stop at a family house whose existence was once threatened but was successfully preserved, and conclude facing a monumental sorrel.

The walk lasts 1.5-2 hours and ends within sight of the Podolská water tower. Led by Martin Bělohradský. Tickets must be purchased in advance; children under 12 enter free. The terrain is suitable for strollers (one set of stairs), but not wheelchair accessible.

Meeting point: Klikovka bus stop (line 134) - the upper stop on Lomnického Street, opposite the newly built office building. Accessible from Pražského povstání metro station.
