Three characters embodying three positions - yes, no, I don't know - wander the world seeking direction. They played a crucial role in shaping the dialectic of development.

A personal film shot on 16mm began as a meditation on the very concept of progress - a value that has become ubiquitous in modern society. From efforts to remedy social inequality through innovations driving the global economy to the rhythm of wars and reconstructions. With this notion of progress comes speed: the old is discarded and replaced by the new, which soon becomes obsolete in turn.

Then there is the personal dimension. A person exists in the present, yet increasingly lives with what has already passed - and grows ever more capable of preserving it, cherishing much of it. What happens to the individual, to humanity, in this ferment? What future awaits a world that constantly chases the new and the better?
