Progress drives us forward. But where exactly is it going? A trinity played a crucial role in the creation of the world, shapes the dialectic of development, and resonates in our hesitation - yes, no, I don't know. Three characters, embodying this trinity of attitudes, walk through the world seeking direction. This personal film shot on 16mm began as a meditation on the very direction of progress - a value that has become ubiquitous in modern society, where many social dynamics have become intertwined with it. From social progress, which forms the basis of efforts to remedy inequalities, to various innovations that drive the modern global economy through long periods between wars and subsequent reconstructions. With this all-encompassing notion of progress comes speed - the old is quickly discarded and replaced by the new, which soon becomes obsolete as well. And then there is the personal level. We exist in the present, but increasingly we live with what has already passed. We are becoming ever more capable of preserving it - and we love much of it. What happens to humanity, to humaneness, in this fermentation? What future awaits us in a world that constantly chases the new and the better?
