The Summer When I Lost Everyone
Krajská knižnica P.O. Hviezdoslava, Prešov
A feature-length debut film directed by a 15-year-old filmmaker. The film follows 17-year-old Lucas (Jakub Horák), who has grown up with his grandmother Dáša (Nina Kočanová) instead of his parents. After thirteen years, he travels to the countryside to meet his estranged father Peter (Matej Landl) - their relationship is cold, and Lucas is cared for by his father's caregiver Lenka (Silvia Soldanová). Lucas finds refuge in a new group of friends: Charlotte (Viktória Holkovičová), Zora (Esther Pilátová), and Matias (Samuel Klinovský). With Charlotte, their bond becomes more than friendship - both are searching for answers to questions that trouble them, each in their own way.
An intimate coming-of-age story about relationships between parents and children, and one summer that will stay with you. The narrative unfolds slowly, resonating with those who can perceive emotions beneath the surface.
