The Summer When I Lost Everyone
- Genre: Drama
- Country: Slovakia
- Runtime: 73 min
The film follows 17-year-old student Lucas (Jakub Horák), who has his head in the clouds and is afraid to live in the present moment. Instead of his parents, he grows up with his grandmother Dáša (Nina Kočanová). After thirteen years, he comes to the countryside to see his estranged father Peter (Matej Landl). Their relationship is cold, so Lucas is cared for by his father's caregiver Lenka (Silvia Soldanová), who tries to bring father and son closer together. Lucas, however, finds refuge in a new group of friends with Charlotte (Viktória Holkovičová), Zory (Esther Pilátová) and Matias (Samuel Klinovský). With Charlotte, their bond becomes more than just friendship. She leaves things to chance, but both are searching for answers to certain life questions. Fate will unite their different views on life. But will Lucas be able to find his way to his father, Charlotte, and especially to himself? The film's pace is slower, but it will resonate with those who know how to feel the emotions beneath the surface.
