Budoár staré dámy & Electra5 / Double Concert // Ponava

Brno-based alternative rock band Budoár staré dámy has been mixing energy, humour and oddness since 1998 - and still hasn't started taking itself seriously. Vivid lyrics draw from tangled reality, held together by the frontwoman's distinctive voice, with catchy choruses appearing in unexpected arrangements of guitars, rhythm and electronics. A band you either love or don't understand. Or both.

Prague band Electra5 builds its sound on pronounced groove and original compositions with Czech lyrics - the mix brings together trip hop, jazz, blues and dance rhythms. The quartet features vocalist Veronika Bednářová, guitarist and synthesizer player Vít Malypetr, drummer Daniel Hruška and double bassist Jiří Matys. Alongside electronic colours, they give space to the live sound of double bass, drums and guitar.
