The Classics for Millions project brings the most famous classical melodies in modern arrangements and energetic rhythms. This time they will resound under the open sky in the grounds of Olomouc's Korunní pevnůstka - one of the best-preserved parts of the former Olomouc fortress.

The main focus of the evening will be the Pan flute, an instrument that is heard only rarely on Czech concert stages. It will be accompanied by a live orchestra and band.

About the venue: Korunní Fortress

Korunní pevnůstka (Crown Fortress) is a protected heritage site and one of the few surviving parts of Olomouc's original bastion fortifications, built in 1745–1757 on the orders of Empress Maria Theresa. The complex includes a crown rampart with a bastion and two half-bastions, a Baroque powder magazine from 1756, and the remains of an Empire-style guardhouse. Since 2008 it has been managed by the Muzeum Olomoucké pevnosti association, which opened a museum, the interactive science centre Pevnost poznání, and an open-air amphitheatre seating nearly 900 people.
