Hay Fever

Noël Coward's bitter comedy from 1925 unfolds over one June weekend at the summer home of the Bliss couple. Judith Bliss, a former actress, and her husband David, a writer, spend the summer there with their two teenage children.

Each of them independently invites a guest for the weekend - and each looks forward to it like a child, until they discover the house will be full. From that moment on, the self-centeredness of the family members reliably outweighs both hospitality and basic decency.

The guests are confused and easily fall prey to the pitfalls of romantic games, while the Blisses cheerfully continue their quarrels. Family chaos in all its glory.
