Odyssey

Odysseus, king of the Greek island of Ithaca, is credited by legend and Homer's epics with creating the famous Trojan Horse, which sealed Troy's fate. After the wars end, he desires only one thing - to return home to his wife Penelope and son Telemachus. Yet his deeds have angered the gods, and they have made his journey home extraordinarily difficult. This is why the word "odyssey" has become synonymous with a voyage full of obstacles that lead the wanderer away from his goal rather than toward it.

While Odysseus faces gods, giants, and the enchanting sorceress Circe, his wife Penelope at home resists the men who seek both her hand and the entire kingdom of Ithaca.
