The Pilsen Philharmonic, a renowned orchestra with over a century of tradition, ranks among the most sought-after ensembles both in the Czech Republic and abroad. In the Klatovy Theatre, it will open the new theatre season with a September concert conducted by Chuhei Iwasaki.

About the venue: Divadlo

The Stálá divadelní scéna (Permanent Theatre Stage) in Klatovy occupies a building from 1920, opened with a performance of Smetana's opera "The Kiss". The current institution was established in 1963 as the successor to the West Bohemian Touring Theatre, which once counted actors such as Pavel Landovský and Alois Švehlík among its company. The main auditorium seats 398, while the smaller Theatre Club holds 48. The programme mixes touring theatre productions, concerts, children's shows and club performances, with the stage also serving Sušice and Horažďovice.
