Description was written before the event

The Necks is an Australian experimental jazz trio renowned for their improvisational performances. The group creates slowly evolving soundscapes that grow from minimal beginnings into dense musical structures.

About the venue: Palác Akropolis

Palác Akropolis is a multifunctional cultural centre in Prague's Žižkov district, built in 1927 by architect Rudolf Václav Svoboda. The basement houses the main hall with a capacity of 700, complemented by a small stage, café, bars and a restaurant. As a hub of independent culture, it hosts over 900 events a year — concerts, theatre, exhibitions and film screenings across genres. At the end of the 20th century it was revived as the home stage of the "Prague Five", the best known of which was the Sklep Theatre.

About: The Necks

Sydney trio The Necks have been performing since 1987, known for concerts built around a single, organically unfolding improvisation - no setlists, no cues between players. Their latest release, the triple album Disquiet (October 2025), spans over three hours and shows the trio still pushing the edges of their sound after nearly four decades.
