The XXIII. ProART Festival Brno takes place at Vila Engelsmann with this year's theme "Caring for the Soul through Art". The festival offers encounters with leading figures of world culture and the opportunity to create in the setting of a First Republic villa.

About the venue: Vila Engelsmann

Vila Engelsmann is a neo-Baroque villa built in 1931–1932 on Hlinky Street in Brno for textile industrialist and art collector Felix Engelsmann. The L-shaped building with a mansard roof and grand street façade stands in stark contrast to the functionalism dominant at the time. The owners fled the Nazi occupation in 1939; the villa was confiscated and later nationalised. Today it is privately owned and available for event hire and guided tours.
