Exhibition – Castle Through the Ages

The renovated exhibition in the former castle brewery on the lower courtyard of Velhartice State Castle tells the story of the castle's rebirth. The exhibition is part of a free self-guided tour of the grounds, which includes outdoor spaces of the upper and lower courtyards, remains of the distillery, the rear rampart, and views into the Ostružná valley. Outdoor games are scattered throughout the grounds. After the winter break, the castle opens to visitors on 2 April 2026. The grounds are open from 9:30 to 16:00. In April and October, guided tours on weekdays are available only for pre-booked groups. Photography and filming in the grounds and exhibitions in the brewery are permitted.
