A meeting with Czech writer, publicist and documentarian Dora Kaprálová, who lives in Berlin. The event will take place in the format of a literary tea.

Knihovna Karla Dvořáčka is a public library founded by the city of Vyškov, and also serves as the regional library coordinating services for more than 80 libraries across the Vyškov district. It occupies a barrier-free, renovated historic school building shared with the local arts school. The collection holds around 100,000 titles, complemented by audiobooks, e-books, and a reading room with over 170 periodical titles. Alongside lending, the library hosts author readings, lectures, exhibitions, and educational programmes including a Virtual University for seniors.

This Brno-born author, long settled in Berlin, is one of the most distinctive voices in contemporary Czech prose - in 2026 she became the first Czech author to win the European Union Prize for Literature, alongside two Magnesia Litera awards for her novella Mariborská hypnóza.
