Sára Saudková – Photography Exhibition

The Atrium gallery of the Ensana Hvězda hotel in Mariánské Lázně hosts an exhibition of photographs by Czech photographer and writer Sára Saudková from May 4 to July 5, 2026. Sára Saudková, born Šárka Směšná (b. 1967, Zábřeh), has been photographing since 1999. Her work focuses primarily on nudes – classical black-and-white photographs shot on medium format. Through staged images, she documents relationships between men and women, exploring themes of farewell, waiting, love, desire, and solitude. Her early work was influenced by Jan Saudek, but she has gradually developed her own distinctive style. Beyond photography, she is also a writer, having published books for both children and adults (Midnight Tales, That Redhead, Sweaty Backs, Rain). She has held countless solo exhibitions at home and abroad (Slovakia, France, Germany, Italy, Switzerland, Poland). Admission is free. There is no opening reception.
