Preview performance of Orpheus and Eurydice by Divadlo nacucky! – an original, performative adaptation of the classical myth. The story of grieving Orpheus, who sets out to free Eurydice from the underworld, becomes a meditation on death and the concept of hell not as a mythological place, but as a personal experience of pain, loss, guilt, and separation.
The production departs from traditional operatic form and moves between musical theatre, performance art, and experimental theatre – combining Baroque music with electronic elements. The production is directed by Jan Frič, who studied at DAMU and has directed over 70 productions, including works at the National Theatre, Divadlo Na zábradlí, and HaDivadlo. He is a recipient of the Theatre Critics' Award.
