The comedy "The Name" builds on a seemingly innocent situation: successful real estate agent Vincent comes to dinner at his sister Elizabeth's, a French teacher, and her husband Pierre, a literature professor, and confides in them about the controversial name he wants to give his son. The middle-class prejudices of the liberal guests prove to be greater than anyone expected, and the real escalation comes with the revelation of hidden family secrets.
